The first lecture of Social Engagement was held during 3-5pm at Auditorium Level 3, Chemistry New Building.
A group of 16 members was formed during the lecture time.
We made a simple discussion about what we were going to do.

We decided to organise a 3-day science camp in orphanage.
We were split into 4 bureau including logistic, programme, technology and marketing.
I am one of the members of programme bureau and Teoh Li Sim is the head of programme bureau.

Logistic bureau started to find orphanage in KL and Selangor area.

20/02/2018
The venue was decided at Pusat Jagaan Baitus Sakinah Wal Mahabbah in Sepang, Selangor.
The science camp will be held from 9 March to 11 March.
22/02/2018
First meeting is held at Cube KK1. We discussed about
proposal and flow of the camp.
After that, I discussed the experiments and station games for the camp with other programme bureau members.

We had a rehearsal of proposal presenting at first floor study area of Chemistry New Building.
We presented our proposal to our coordinators, Dr. Norazilawati Binti Muhamad Sarih and Dr. Azizah Binti Mainal at 3pm.
We were suggested changing our plan to 2-day camp in order to minimize our budget.

Ka Yee, Shuhada, Siti and Li Sim went to Baitus Sakinah to do some survey. They also tried to find accommodation nearby.
I bought the materials for testing station game and scientific experiments at the same day.

Meeting was held at DK4, Faculty of Science. We learnt our camp theme song, Learning Makes Us Happy.

We had our meeting at Cube, KK1 at 8pm. We carried out the rehearsal of opening and closing ceremony.

I distributed our group members to in charge each station games and experiments. I also prepared the procedure for each station games and experiments.
Mariana bought the materials for experiments and station games.

We gathered at UM Central before going to Baitus Sakinah. We arrived there around 10 am. Then, we had a briefing before start. At 10:30 am, we started our camp on time.
As I needed to go back UM for my tarian kreatif training, I had to leave Baitus Sakinah earlier at 4 pm. But other members will stay overnight at the prepared accommodation in Sepang.

Yuan Pin and I gathered at UM central at 7 am and then went to Baitus Sakinah together. We arrived there around 8 am. Our second day's schedule started from 8:30 am. However, as I needed to prepared the materials for experiments and station games, I did not do aerobic exercise with them.
The camp ended at 6 pm.

Dr Nora met us at her office. But, I had Pertandingan Tarian Kreatif at the same day, so I was absent in the meeting.

We met Dr Nora again at 10 am at D320, Chemistry Old Building. We showed the pictures and videos taken in the 2-day camp. The meeting dismissed at 11 am.

We visited Baitus Sakinah again with Dr Nora. We stayed at Baitus Sakinah from 10am until 1pm. Before leaving, we gave souvenir to Puan Wahida.

Self Reflection
I felt very happy can participate in organization of this project. The deepest impression part was the first day of the camp. When the children were asked to introduce themselves, although they were shy, they still actively interacted with us.
Thought this project, not only the children can learn new knowledge, I also get some new experience. I learned how to interact with the children and enjoyed playing with them. This is a very nice experience for me. I will visit them again if have chance and hoped I can meet them again in the future.
