As the head of program bureau, I am assigned to draft the tentative for 3 days 2 nights and let our members to have a slightest notion of what activities will be carrying on during the camp.
22 February 2018
We have our first meeting. It's glad that many members endeavor to attend it and the meeting is going on gratifyingly. Each bureaus gives a clear update in this meeting and thus our proposal is successfully accomplished.
23 February 2018
It's the day of our proposal presentation! Being one of the presenters, I'm privileged in giving a brief concept about the program.As the camp will be held in Pertubuhan Baitus Sakinah,Sepang which is quite far from our university, our coordinator considers our situation and asks us to change our tentative into 2 days one night in order to reduce our cost.Thus, I make some time adjustments in our tentative.
26 February 2018
I represent my program bureau to visit Pertubuhan Baitus Sakinah and show our tentative to the manager,Puan Wahidah.
3 March 2018
We learn to sing the theme songs and do some gestures for it. Moreover, our program bureau practise our aerobic exercise as well on the same day. It is quite exhausting but I enjoy in doing these.
4 March 2018
After getting the name list of the children from Puan Wahidah, I divide the children into 4 groups and each groups will be guided by 2 facilitators.
8 March 2018
We have our meeting again! In this meeting, we have a rehearsal for our camp opening ceremony and closing ceremony.After that, we learn the theme songs for many times so that we can perform well in front of the children.
10 March 2018
I give a briefing about the flow of time and tell the members where are the locations for the activities to be carried out. The first day of the science learning camp goes on smoothly.
11 March 2018
We bring the children to the playground and do some warm up exercise with them in the early morning. After that, we carry out the scientific experiments and thus the children's curiosity overload.They desire to know what's really happening according to the results shown. It's so glad that we can see the children's smiles are plastered on their faces. During the closing ceremony, we let the children to watch the video so that they can reminisce what they have done in this camp.
Self Reflection
I'm so glad to have fun in Baitus Sakinah. I have learned a lot in overcoming all the challenges we faced. It will be a life-long activity for us and we will meet the children very soon again!
