As the secretary of Group 1, I have read through the proposal and the report format so that I have a brief idea what to be included and can distribute each part for each member.

I have written the first theme song lyric. However, certain words used in the lyrics are difficult for young children, thus I started to work for the second and third theme song lyrics.

I have asked help from my friend to write song for the theme song. After discussion with my programme group members, we decided to use the third theme song, which the tempo is light and fun, while the lyrics are simple and understandable by small kids.

We have the first meeting. Most of the members attended, except those who had feseni practices which cannot be exempted. I have made sure every bureau to update on their progression so that I can include them in the proposal, especially the programme bureau on the tentatives.

Today is the proposal presentation! We have the second meeting before the presentation in the afternoon for the presenters to practise at least once before the real presentation, and not to forget, I am one of them! The meeting is also for those who have queries about our project to clear their doubts to ensure every group member has a clear idea what are we going to carry out. Finally, our presentation is considered a success!

As a member of the programme bureau, I was assigned to in charge of the theme song as well as the aerobic exercise. Therefore, after the third meeting, I teach the group members to sing the theme song and do some gestures for it. Everyone did a very good job and have fun!

Today's meeting is about rehearsal for the opening ceremony and closing ceremony. Besides, we have selected a suitable movie for the children. After that, we have theme song practice until 12am!
10 March 2018
Today is the first day of our camp! We depart early in the morning. Once we reach the orphanage, the programme bureau members survey on the place to carry out our activities. Since I am the facilitator for one of the boys group, I am also in charged of taking care of the boys for the ice-breaking session and we have great fun! In the evening, I teach the children about the theme song. They are so clever, and have learnt to sing the song with some gestures within 1 hour! That night, we have enjoyed some great performances from the children!

In the morning, we go to the playground nearby to do aerobic exercise. Afterwards, we have scientific experiments and station games. During the scientific experiment session, we can see how smart and observant the children are! One of my kids in my group is so interested and excited with this session until he brings his science practical textbook to me to ask about his experiment in his school. During the closing ceremony, we watch the review video together to reminisce all memorable moments spent together in the two days camp. Before we leave, I have given my kids in my group some self-made cards as souvenirs.

We have the last meeting today to prepare for the report and presentation on Week 13. Officially, our social engagement project has marked an end!
