A Fruitful Thursday Night
February 22, 2018
Hi, Happy Thursday everyone!!
Stay strong my comrades, for tomorrow is "flyday"~~~~~
Tonight at 7pm we have had our first-and-historical meeting at the Cube, First Residential College (Astar).
Since i am just staying at Astar, I do feel appreciative that i don't need to rush from the other colleges to the meeting venue hehe~~~
The meeting commenced without any hesitation.
The main purpose of the meeting is to complete and polish the proposal that we were going to present tomorrow. To minimize the burden of the secretary, I was playing an extra role of writing a report regarding the meeting.
Nonetheless, at around 8.30pm, i had to leave earlier for choir practice. So sorry for the early leave and thank you for my fellow teammates’ thoughtfulness. Hence my Thursday night was still going on with another gang of comrades, FIGHTING!!!
PS: According to the others, the meeting was ultimately dismissed after 10pm. Thanks all for your collaboration :D

First War to Fight
February 23, 2018

It was proposal-presenting day.
To ensure a smooth presentation of our ideas, we gathered at the multi-purpose area which is situated at the first floor of the new chemistry building.
We did a rehearsal for the presentation.
After that, we went to the class with well-prepared mind as well as high spirit.
SE first group GO! GO! GO!

First Visit
February 24,2018
Today we had the first visit to Pertubuhan Baitus Sakinah!!

We felt a bit more relieved after we have explored the house as we got to know where is the exact place that are allowed for us to carry out activities.

After accomplishing our mission, we went to have our late lunch. The ordinary food which costs RM 7 made my jaws dropped. Ermmm, still prefer food in UM with affordable prices haha....

Full Members' Preparation
March 2, 2018
This is our last meeting before going to Pertubuhan Baitus Sakinah.

We sat around a table in DK4 study area and discussed all related agendas. After the classic mode of meeting, we stood up and had some exercises. Actually, the exercises we had done was......

......learning the gestures for our learning camp's theme song. XD

I was pretty amused by my own body language during the learning process. But for the sake of the kids, let's do it!!

Implementation Days
March 10-March 11, 2018

A very good-for-sleep morning, i struggled to leave my bed. It was the day that we all have awaited... ...

At our gathering site, UM Central, we were busy ensuring all things needed were brought along since the to-and-fro fare is really a burden for a student. Then, with excitement and a bit of nervousness, 12 of us went to Pertubuhan Baitus Sakinah by Uber.

We had reached there earlier before the girls from the nearby hostel gathered with the boys who are staying in the house. I was in charge of snapping photos throughout the two-days camp. The kids were still shy when facing the camera as they had never seen us before.

When everything was ready, we started the camp without hesitation. The first session was aimed to get know to each other so that the following gaming session are lively and smooth. What can i observe from the kids is the boys were mostly supportive and confident in expressing their thoughts whereas the girls were all shy in giving their opinion. This can be shown by that the girls like to whisper to each other instead of talking openly in their conversations.

Fortunately, this situation improved when it was the gaming session. The girls were willing to blend themselves in the game that we had fully considered and prepared before. Seeing the smiles on their faces made me feel so contented that the nervousness perished immediately.

Time travels fast. The first day of the camp has come to a comma( since tomorrow the camp is still going on XD ) During the night of the day, Li Sim and i had stayed up until 4am to make bookmarks for the kids as souvenirs for them. OMG, my eyelids had never been so heavy before except that night @_@

7am on the next day, we scrambled up from the bed. The event of the day commenced with the morning exercise session with the kids. It was lovely to see the kids cutely stretched their arms and legs, despite the toughness of refraining them from approaching the facilities in the playground...

The session on that day became more interactive as the kids were getting familiar with us. During the movie-showing session, i felt sad for the kids when the screen appears the scene of parents hugging their child. It was heartbreaking that the kids could never experience the warmth of love from their biological parents. T_T

Ultimately, after rounds of games and small experiments, it was prize-giving ceremony. The tiredness was totally swept away by the joyfulness of the kids shown when they were receiving their presents. I also presented them my handmade bookmarks with my heartfelt wishes.

After that, although it was a bit reluctant to bide farewell with them, the relief of accomplishing our missions soothing our hearts. Arriving back at kk1 was already 7.30pm. I rushed to have a few spoon of dishes before going for choir practice. Bye kids till we meet again!!

Post-Meeting
April 26, 2018
Again, we met at the Cube for the post-meeting.

We discussed all details which was included in the report and also settled all financial transactions.

This meeting marked as a full stop for our Science Learning Camp. May our team's togetherness lasts long and for good......

Self Reflection
Finally, the project ended...

It is really a blissful matter to have both parents always by my side. Hoping that i would implement my filial duty to my parents not only physically but also mentally.

Although the project has ended, this doesn't mark the end of our aim in spreading caring and loving vibes towards others. May this effort be continued by our juniors and making this project even more intensively and sustainable:D
