Assalamualaikum & Hi! So today is our first meeting to discuss for our first social engagement project which is Science Learning Camp in Pertubuhan Baitus Sakinah Hidayah. The discussion started at 8 pm in The Cube, First College UM. We discussed about our proposal to be present the next day, 23rd February. So basically, we divided the works according each bereaus which are Programme, Logistic and Multitechnology. We also discussed about what is our main purpose in this project that is implanting science enthusiasm in children of the orphanage.

So this in my journal and my name is Puteri Nur Atiqah binti Azlan. I'm in the multech bureau
Assalamualaikum and Hi guys, so we meet again hahahaha. So today my group went to Baitus Sakinah orphanage to see the condition of this place and also to discuss about about our project. So basically, we only send 4 of them to go there so that we can reduce the transportation cost. The 4 of them are the one incharge with the orphanage. They ask the one that raise the orphanage, Ustaz Miqdam about the condition of the orphanage and catering. We will also provide food for them. Other than that, they search for homestay because we want to do it 2 days 1 night only. And luckily they found a beautiful homestay for us to stay and it is not far from the orphanage. Sooo i think that's all i want to say and don't worry i'm going to post more and more see yaa
This is my group that i have been assignted. They are a bit shy for the first day. They don't want to talk and silent along the first day. But there is this one girl, named Aisyah. She is a lovely girl and she is brave from what i see. She is the one that gave some ideas about our group name and our slogan. She is the one that wear spectacle. Our group name is Siti Khadijah, Allahuakhar, Allahuakbar, Allahuakbar. That is our slogan. For the first time, they are a bit shy and don't want to communicate with us, but after we play some games and all of the stuff, they start to feel our affection to us. Nevertheless, they approach us bit by bit. And i'm a talkative person, so when comes to the girls, I'm the best hahahaha. When they waited for the guys to pray together,I approach them. Iask how their lifestyle, their parents and all the stuff. And they told me their story. From that i felt not everyone is lucky like us so we must be grateful for what we have
Okay this is the second day. We conduct a lot of science experiment which is popping the balloon with using anything and practice our theme song.Throughout the experiment, they gain knowledge about science a little bit and also prizes. We hand over the present which group is win. And guess what, MY GROUP IS THE WINNER. They really happy when they announced who is the winner. Their reaction is priceless. From the visiting of Baitus Sakinah, I've gained a lot of experience and my house is not very far from them. So i will surely visit them afterwards.
So my reflection throughout this two days and one night is that not everyone is lucky as us. Some of them have parents but poor and some of it doesn't have parents. When i saw how their lifestyle and so on, i felt that we need to appreciate for what we have eventhough it is not as grand as in the TV's but still we in a good condition right ? So that what i get from this amazing experience.
